1) During a diagnostic the Odometer and/or Engine Hours show as missing
2) Driver has to manually enter odometer values while changing duty status
There are two main reason for this:
1) ELD not connected to the truck (ECM device) or maybe it’s connected to the truck but not reading engine information.
RESOLUTION: On the menu, go to Scan Devices, make sure the vehicle’s engine is turned on and running, select scan devices, look for the ECM device, tap on it and make sure it passes all the diagnostics
2) Driver is operating a gasoline vehicle which does not provide all the required parameters like odometer and engine hours. In this case first try the same resolution as above but it the results are the same let the driver know that the ELD provider should be contacted
